Apart from the Destroyer, and Murmillo, there was another important, and influentual Atlantean Soldier - The Legionaire. Legionaires were conscripted Atlantean soldiers from the ages of 22 - 55, and were armed with a large rectangular shield, long sword made of either bronze, or iron, along with being armed in chainmail in the early Atlantean Kingdoms, and Iron Plated armor in the Atlantean Golden Age. Legionaires were typically put into Legions of 100 men, typically lead by a Centurion, and were the inspiration for the Marian Reforms of the Roman Republic.

Atlantean Legionaires had a very rocky relationship with the older formations of Murmillo, and Destroyers, due to being regarded by them as a glorified militia. However the Legionaires had a major impact in Atlantean tactics due to their use of the Tortoise formation, used in sieges, and to dodge incoming arrow, and projectile fire.
